Jesus Take The Wheel has helped me to react to things (big & small) in life in a much more even tone. Seeing trials as tools which God uses to mold and remake us, has really taken the bite out of them so to speak (and out of me). I find myself not sweating the small stuff. I think much of what I thought throughout a week was spiritual warfare was probably just me, battling my will against those around me. ... and the spiritual warfare that occurs, I submit to prayer, giving it to the Lord. Suddenly I look back and see that it's passed and feel like Wow, i've come out unscathed. These principles are wonderful and are easy to apply since this is the "new man" we've put on. :) !!! Ephesians 4:17-24

I love the book. Denise and I have been following day by day. I like the fact it can be used by people who are beginning their walk , and people who want to "Fine Tune" their walk.

You keep it interesting with your life stories and the stories in the bible.

I found a couple of chapters really hit a nerve in my house. It was an eye opener. and we are growing well.

Hi Stu,

Your book is AWESOME! Every chapter there’s a thrill and the story can relates in my situation. Like day 39 and 40 of the workbook. Day 39 tackles about having perseverance in facing trials in life. “Persevere by not quitting or giving up, BUT instead depend on GOD to lead you through trial, BY FAITH realizing that HE will carry you through them. And it reminds me Romans 5:3-5. Day 40, story of David, His job, his family, and a lot of things that happened in his life. Like what George said on David during the meeting, that David is like a piece of hardening clay needed to be shatter and put it back together again (remodeled again by GOD). I was blown away with these statement, and I pray and thank GOD that He need to break me like a clay and put it back together to remodel me again as a new clay that remodeled by the Potter. I’ve been in this situation Stu. While I’m still waiting for GOD to finish what He started, I enjoy loving HIM more and more, knowing HIM and desiring HIM everyday in my life. Prayer really helps me and it’s my daily habit now to pray not only once but every moment. And it is really a REWARDING to surrender my LIFE to JESUS CHRIST and Let JESUS Take The Wheel. And my participation, to be humble, obedient, cling to my Creator, don’t quit (even he road is tough) praising HIM, Honor and Glorify JESUS more.

This is a very HIGHLY recommended book. Very practical and simple! And you can feel the LOVE of JESUS in our lives!

In HIS Kingdom,

Ed

Reading, Jesus Take the Wheel, has been a great source of strength and a reminder of God's faithfulness to his people. As I ponder these simple, yet practical truths set forth in this book, I look forward each day to see what the Lord wants to teach me through them. The author brings to life these truths by sharing his own experiences with us. The Lord has been showing me how much I have been serving myself and "self" needs to be off the wheel of my life in order to let Jesus take over. This has been a dose of humility for me but great is the reward of obedience! I am so blessed that we serve a loving Father who cares for our every need and knows what is best for us.

Life is busy, but by each day letting Jesus Take the Wheel, it is not burdensome. Through the reading, some things I've noticed:

- I ponder (if that's the right word) decisions and directions with more focus than in the past.

- I find myself looking and asking God to reveal more to me even in the small trials, and in the busyness of life, to be more aware, and recognize the helpers He brings to me.

- I find myself resting on that peace that surpasses all understanding.

Wouldn't you know ... the reading from last night spoke to me EXACTLY where I am in my situation. There is a paragraph you wrote saying something to the effect of: "Are you having financial difficulties? Conflicts with family? Health issues? Depression?" I don't recall exactly what you said after this, but I know it was a great encouragement; exhortation to put my full dependence on the Lord, to put Him "in the driver's seat", to TRUST that He has the absolute BEST in mind for me. I know this is exactly what I needed to read, and I know it was no accident that the Lord allowed me to read it at this time. It's helping me to keep my mind more focused on the Lord/ trying to trust Him.

I believe that the Lord is dealing with that deep void in my heart ... I just don't know how He's doing it/ what exactly He's doing. He's been allowing me to feel that deep sadness that I usually cover up/ bury so well in so many activities/ busy-ness. I'm afraid that sadness will never go away ... it's been with me a long time. But, your book continues to point me to the only One who really can help it to go away, for which I am very grateful.

Reading about your personal experiences (financial problems early in your marriage because of the cost of school; children, mistakes/learning experiences at your job, training for triathlons, struggling with physical problems [pancreatitis I think it was?], ) encourages me so much, because it makes your exhortations about God so much more meaningful! You aren't just some perfect person who skated through life, who's writing a happy-go-lucky book about it. NO -- you're a real person, with real struggles, who loves the Lord and wants to share your experiences, strength, hope with us! It makes your writing powerful and effective for me ... because you're talking from the viewpoint of someone who has been there. It makes me happy to open your book so that I can read more!

I am enjoying this book very much. It has a lot of Great examples for us to follow along with practical advice. It seems that just as I read a chapter it ALWAYS pierces my heart to remember our calling and see the standard that God has for us and shows us time and time again throughout scripture where he is so faithful to reward those who faithfully trust and wait on Him. I thank you for following the leading of the Holy Spirit and setting the time and resources aside that it took to put this book together. I know that this took a lot of time from your family to complete this work. You have also shown your weaknesses and growth process that helps us to remember we are not alone! We all battle this thing called the flesh. You show how we are to walk and what to expect and how to pick up once we have fallen or gotten off track.

In closing it seems that as I go through the book day by day God has been speaking directly to me; even today with King Hezekiah who even though he was in such a wicked society / generation even in his own family he kept his eyes on God and clung to nothing but HIM. God was faithful to show himself mighty to Hezekiah; He went to battle and slew 185,000 people. The only thing he wants is for us to be totally surrendered to Him. This Helps met to remember that I need to look to him in all areas of my life clinging to him and nothing else. The book has been a tremendous blessing.

The book is excellent, and very comprehensive in many areas. I have prayerfully read and reviewed several chapters. On many occasions
I needed to confess to the Lord my shortcomings and worded out a plan with the Lord to resolve. The Lord is faithful (1John 1:9)

Hey Stu! I absolutely love the book. I will have to say that my two favorite chapters so far are the one's about self importance and going through trials. These two really spoke to my heart and have changed my perspective when it comes to these two parts of life. Oh, and day 26, about compromising was really good too. We don't realize how often we do compromise in our own walks with the Lord. We need to follow his instruction thoroughly, just as Moses did when it came to dealing with Pharaoh.
